DHS renovation plan discussed Danville / WITY Bob Iverson October 08, 2018 07:08 pm Danville District 118 school board members will hear a presentation about a plan to renovate all of the restrooms at Danville High School next summer. At the last school board meeting, $500,000 was earmarked in the new budget to renovate the restrooms on all three floors of the high school during the summer. In addition to the restroom renovation, the high school elevator from the 1950s or 1960s will be modernized for $268,100. The elevator project will start at the end of the school year. The district also expects to pay $140,000 to paint the DHS gym and another $275,000 to paint the DHS field house. All the projects will render the high school will be unavailable for public use next summer. The Danville District 118 school board will hold its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the Jackson Building, 516 N. Jackson St.
