October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and the Vermilion County State’s Attorney’s Office is helping to gather needed supplies for Crosspoint Human Services’ Domestic Violence & Transitional Shelter.
State’s Attorney Jacqueline Lacy’s office is seeking cleaning supplies, towels, diapers, laundry items, twin size mattress pads, non-perishable food items, children’s craft supplies and more. The supplies can be dropped off at All Vermilion County McDonald’s locations. The collection will continue until Oct. 14.
Crosspoint also will host an open house from 3-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 201 N. Hazel St. for the public to meet new executive director Chad Hays.
