OSF HealthCare is going to take over the Danville Polyclinic. Danville Polyclinic have signed a letter of intent for OSF HealthCare to take ownership of the clinic in early 2019. A news release said OSF HealthCare and Polyclinic are committed to ensuring continued access to quality care and services during this shift in ownership. It said that patients should see no change in care throughout this process.
Dr. Naresh Goel, president of the Polyclinic board, said it was a unanimous decision by all Danville Polyclinic doctors, health care providers and administration to join OSF Health Care. He said it will stabilize, improve and expand the hospital and outpatient health care of ALL patients in Danville and the surrounding area.
The timeframe for completing the transition is still being determined pending regulatory approvals. OSF owns Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville and Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana.
