A new person is now the local state Representative. Mike Marron took the oath of office administered by Judge Thomas O’Shaughnessy in the Vermilion county courthouse
Marron, who lives in Fithian, had been the Chairman of the Vermilion County Board. Now he is the most junior member of the Illinois House of Representatives.
Marron replaces Chad Hays who has taken a new job as Director of Crosspoints Human Services. Marron thanked his family and friends for the support they have given him in public service. He said it will take a team effort to make a difference in Springfield
Jim Durkin, Minority leader of the house of Representatives, welcomed Marron to the new job. He was one of the many past and present state and county officials present at the ceremony.
