The Corvettes for Education and Classic Car Show will return to downtown Danville from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The show is a benefit for the Loretta G. Randle Scholarship Fund. The fund was established in 2005 offering $500 scholarships to Danville High School graduates who plan to attend Danville Area Community College. An annual car show that raises money for a local scholarship fund is marking its fifth year. Registration begins at 10 a.m. Sunday. The fee is $10 for all cars in antique class and motorcycles.
There will be dash plaques, and a 50/50 drawing and prize drawings.
Ward 7 Alderman Lloyd Randle says his mother was a big fan of DACC. When she died, Randle started a scholarship fund to honor his life. To date, more than $5,000 in scholarships has been awarded.
