A Danville man was sentenced to 20-years in prison after being found guilty of bribery. In December, Keyvell Lewis was charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual assault to a juvenile female. In July, he was found guilty of bribery.
Authorities say, while the criminal sexual assault charges were pending, Lewis spoke with the victim and her mother suggesting he would give her $8,000 if she dropped the charges. In another conversation with the mother, he suggested they could leave the area or come to court and say she lied. Lewis faced mandatory class X sentencing due to his prior criminal history.
