Agronomy Day at the University of Illinois is Thursday, Aug. 16. The annual event, hosted by the Department of Crop Sciences at U of I, is attended by hundreds of visitors from the regional farming community each year. Agronomy Day begins at 7 a.m., and will be held at the U of I’s South 1st Street Facility in Savoy. This year, “tours” will be set up in multiple tents surrounding the main exhibitors’ tent, each with a unique sequence of presentations. A lunch program, starting at noon, will feature keynote speaker Chris Harbourt, co-founder of Agrible, as well as remarks from ACES Dean Kim Kidwell and Pat Tranel, interim department head for crop sciences.
