The Danville Police Department has made arrests in the armed robberies of two local businesses. During the investigation, Danville Detectives were able to determine one of the suspects was involved in both of these robberies. 26 year old Quintan Morton of Danville was arrested in the area of Center St. and Jackson Street. As the investigation continued a second suspect was identified as 18 year old Deontre Davis of Danville. Davis was also taken into custody in the 100 block of Center St. Both Morton and Davis are being charged with armed robbery.
The first of the two incidents was when two men robbed the Circle K gas station in the 2600 block of N. Vermilion Street. An employee said he was robbed by two men and one of the men had a handgun. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes before fleeing the business.
The second robbery was at the Family Video in the 700 block of N. Gilbert Street. Two men had robbed the business at gunpoint and taken an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot. This investigation is still ongoing and Danville Police are looking to identify the second subject involved in the armed robbery at the Family Video.
