Danville police are investigating a pair of incidents involving guns. Shortly after 2 a.m. Monday, police responded to the 900 block of Redden Court on a report of a victim with a gunshot wound. Officers found a 35 year old Chicago man with a gunshot wound to his torso. A witness stated the victim was in the area when someone started shooting in his direction. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his wound.
A few minutes later, police responded to the Circle K gas station in the 2600 block of Vermilion in reference to an armed robbery. An employee told police that two men entered the store and one of the subjects pointed a gun at him while the other subject took an undisclosed amount of money from the register and cigarettes from the counter. The two subjects then fled the business and were last seen running east bound through the parking lot. There were no injuries reported during this incident.
