The Danville Police Department is investigating two armed robberies involving local business delivery drivers.
Around 9:42 pm Tuesday, Danville Police responded to the Jimmy Johns restaurant in the 300 block of Fairchild St. for an armed robbery complaint. Officers spoke with an employee who said he was robbed while making a delivery in the unit block of Center St. The employee said he had exited his vehicle for the delivery when he was approached by a man wearing a red hoodie armed with a black handgun. The employee said the subject demanded money and the food but only took the food before running away. The subject was last seen running eastbound towards Jackson St.
About an hour later, Danville Police responded a report of an armed robbery of a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver. The employee stated she was robbed while making a delivery in the 1200 block of Sherman St. The employee stated she was attempting to make the delivery when she was robbed by man in a red hoodie armed with a black handgun. The subject took an undisclosed amount of cash and the pizza before running southwest towards Sheridan St.
