Danville officials announce the continued use of Homefield Energy for the electrical aggregation program with a new contract from June 2018 to June 2021.
The new three-year contract offers eligible residential and small commercial customers protection against volatile electric prices and uncertain future electric cost increases, according to a city press release. Eligible residential and small commercial accounts have been mailed letters regarding program details as well as instructions on how to opt-out if they elect not to participate. There is no cost to participate in the program, nor any cost to opt out. No salesperson will call or visit.
The new rate will take effect with the customer’s June billing cycle.
