The Danville Police Department is investigating two separate recent shooting incidents that sent three people to the hospital. Danville Police responded to the area of Redden St and Fairchild St for a report of shots fired. Officers learned the victims had gone to the 300 block of Alexander St. There police found two victims. An 18 year old Danville man was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his ankle. An 18 year old Danville woman reported a grazing wound to her leg which did not require treatment. The victims stated they were a vehicle when they observed several subjects standing near-by. The victims said as they drove past the subjects, someone started yelling and fired several shots into the vehicle. The victims then drove to the 300 block of Alexander St where they called 911.
Police are also investigating an incident in the 1000 block of Main Street. Police were checking the area for a report of shots fired when they were advised there were two gunshot victims at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center. The victims told police they were at a party when someone from outside started shooting into the building. A 35 year old Danville man had a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his arm. The man was treated and released and then taken into custody on an outstanding Vermilion County warrant. The second victim was a 27 year old Bismarck woman with gunshot wounds to her leg and abdomen. The woman was transported to a Champaign area hospital where she was listed in stable condition.
