Once again this summer, local kids can get a free breakfast. Quaker Oats’ Breakfast in the Park program is returning to Lincoln Park beginning June 4 at 9 a.m. Children 4 to 18 can get breakfast without any documentation or show of need.
Since 2011, The Quaker Oats Company has provided breakfast to about 20,000 underserved children in Danville. Every weekday from June 4 to June 29 the Quaker truck will arrive at Lincoln Park ready to serve breakfast at 9 a.m.
The breakfast includes cereal, granola bars, milk, fruit, and juice.
Retired Danville Quaker Oats employees help make the event successful by serving breakfast to the children.
