Illinois’ congressional delegation has joined Gov. Bruce Rauner in asking for federal assistance in the aftermath of February flooding in three East Central Illinois counties.
Russell Rudd, chief deputy of the Vermilion County Emergency Management Agency, said nearly 30 residential properties here endured major damage. Most are on the west side of Danville, along the Vermilion River.
If Rauner’s request for individual assistance is approved, people in the counties would be eligible to apply for grants and low-interest SBA loans.
