Police continue to investigate a double shooting that took the life of a Georgetown mother of three.
Early Monday morning Georgetown police were called to a mobile home park on Mill Road for a report of shots fired. Police found a woman fatally shot there, he said, and a man who had been shot multiple times. Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden identified the woman as 31-year-old Kimberly M. George, of Georgetown. The male victim is Eric Stark. Stark was taken to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery. He reportedly is in stable condition.
George and Stark apparently were boyfri3end and girlfriend. Police said two young children at the residence at the time of the shooting were not injured and were safe with relatives. An older child of Ms. George’s was not at the residence at the time of the shooting.
State police were called in to assist Georgetown police in processing the crime scene. Investigators could be seen gathering evidence Monday morning outside the mobile home.
